How long has it been since you stopped and looked at a tree, at the intricate details of a leaf, at the variations of strength of the bark? I've never seen a city that had too many trees. Join us in planting a million trees in Los Angeles. OR learn how to plant where every you live!
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY:
A profound organization that builds affordable housing all over the world. I participated in a build for Katrina victims and got the education of a life time. Every bone and muscle in my body ached at the end of the first day and I thought I'd never go back for day 2, but I did. I came away with a deep appreciation for construction workers and the amount of love and dedication that goes into building a house and a home.
THE YOUNG STORYTELLERS FOUNDATION:
A few times a year you'll find me rolling on the floor and placing myself in other compromising positions all to support "THE BIG SHOW". Storytellers Foundation places writing mentors inside Los Angeles area schools so that children with little or no access to the arts can learn screenplay writing skills. Once the script is completed, Los Angeles actors show up to perform "THE BIG SHOW". It's a hoot and a holler and a brilliant way for you to show you care about the little Angelenos coming after you. From this experience, children discover that attending school and studying can be enjoyable and immensely rewarding.
